I never thought that I would be one of the people who would jump on the ” new year, new me” bandwagon, but I am. This year has put a lot of things in perspective for me. I have always lived my life with as little direction as possible. I thought that was okay but now i realize that I need a little direction and i can’t continue to live my life without having an idea of where I want to go, and who I possibly want to be.
I am grateful for the opportunities that I had been blessed by this previous year. Never would I have thought that I would be where I am now. I never thought but hoped that this would be life. I am thankful for the people who have been part of my life until now and those who have left and entered in my life recently.

I am happy with my life. I happy with who I am. 2013 is going to be a great year; I can just feel it.

One of my Christmas gifts to JoJo: the complete Pixar collection on Blu-Ray, in matching packaging I designed. I purchased each movie we didn’t already have, and transferred them to Criterion’s beautiful all-art, all-clear cases. The fronts, backs, spines, and insides of all 14 cases feature original Pixar development and concept art that I scavenged from various books n’ blogs and pieced together into designs that are hopefully a little more complimentary to the films than the character clipart Disney uses. Gonna make some little guidebooks for all of ‘em, with cast & crew info and bonus listings.

I love Pixar movies!

The summer is basically coming to a close , there is little more than a week left into school starts and I’m satisfied. This summer has been one of the most eventful summers I have ever had and to that I say thanks to all my friends and family who I have hanged out with because it wouldn’t have been the same without them.

It’s true that you have to make the most of everything that you have and experience and I’m sad that I only realized that this year. I wasted most of my life thinking its the people who make your experiences although too some degree this might be true, at the end of the day it’s you who makes your experiences.

I feel physically ill after watching this. Please be warned that it is graphic but this is the cold reality of war. This is the cost of dictatorship. This is the length people will go to for their freedom.

If you can’t watch it, then just spread the word.

I know right that a lot of you are seeing this on your dash and ignoring it. And other than the petition I don’t really know what I as a UK citizen can do. But, and I do apologise for the gore don’t watch it if your sensitive, really I challenge you to watch this and not care. They were just fucking walking down the road, it was entirely, entirely peaceful. So if you can do something please do because this just, can’t continue.

I can’t even watch it all. This IS a big deal. I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that it’s happening or the fact that people are ignoring it, or even the fact that there is so little we are able to do from where we are. I haven’t seen any other way to help other than the petition to the UN, and I’m worried that might be filled with prankster’s signatures, and the UN won’t take it seriously. SIGN IT ANYWAY. I don’t know how else to spread awareness.

I don’t understand why, around the 9:00 mark, Bahrain’s army is still attempting to shoot peaceful protestors IN THE PRESENCE OF AN AMBULANCE. Do you have to be that inhumane to kill or hurt a human being in the sight of someone that could heal them? My prayers go out to Libya throughout this whole week.

These people are braver than most of us would, running back in the midst of the action to carry their fallen comrade to safety.

My total respect goes to the Libyan citizens and my utter disgust goes to Bahrain’s army.

The Libyan people are going strong against the government!
Almost 100 people have died for freedom in the past 3 days! These people died to see a change! They died to give the rest of us hope! And even though they are no longer a part of this world…we need to keep them in our hearts. The Libyan people need to keep fighting for their freedom! Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you’re a man, you take it.

Please reblog and tweet about Libya to raise awareness. Please, I am begging you! Help my people! One tweet and one blog post will not affect your life, but it will affect theirs! The people need help: the media can’t get in, the phones are all monitored, the hospitals are overcrowded and are in desperate need of blood, people are hurt and dying, the army is ruthless, and Gaddafi is still there…but the people are not giving up hope! That means, neither can we! Hope for all!

The title is cliche, but no other title seemed appropriate. At the moment as I write this it’s 2: 54 in the morning and I have exacltly 17 days left of summer vacation. As the days seemingly get shorter ( not only in my mind) , I become increasingly agitated, for what reason?, who knows maybe the excitement or the dread , oh the dread of the challenging schedule that I have constructed for myself, oh well itS really hard to cry over spilt milk

Well back to my original reason for posting this post, now that I think about it, I truly have no reason. Maybe I’ll introduce myself thats always a nice place to start I suppose. Well my name is Vanessa, Im interested in many things which is not vague at all. I think I’ll end here and continue on a another day.
